From Liz: "I am a Civil Engineer. I used to be a USA Track and Field runner in Northern California. I competed in 5k up to marathons, including California International Marathon and Boston Marathon. I stopped running competitively in 2009 due to racing injuries. I decided to get into bodybuilding in January 2015 and competed in my first figure and physique competition in the UNBA in August 2015 and placed second in Novice.
I decided to make improvements and step things up by training with Art in October 2015. So far I am very happy with the results and progress I am making so far. The changes in the workout under Art's supervision make every experience super-positive. I used to have anxiety and apprehension before a workout and now I look forward to it and the challenges that Art brings on.
I also plan to cross over from UNBA to NPC and train to compete in physique in June 2016 (held at the San Diego Scottish Rite Temple on Camino Del Rio South) as a novice, open and masters. Art is changing up my meal plan (diet is a self-defeating word that is associated too closely with deprivation). Healthy meal plans nourush muscles and not fat." Good job Liz, it's really showing!
